Our stocks to watch October 16 results list is built around Friday’s slice of the Q2 FY27 calendar. Federal Bank, Bajaj Housing Finance and LTM (formerly LTIMindtree) all have board meetings to clear their July–September numbers. Angel One’s board met on Thursday, October 15, and its earnings call is at 11:00 am IST. ET Markets’ earnings tracker names Federal Bank, Bajaj Housing Finance, LTM, Crompton Greaves and Ujjivan Small Finance Bank among the notable Friday reporters, in a week when about 129 companies were due to report. Upstox’s day-wise list adds Oberoi Realty, Himadri Speciality Chemical, Urban Company, Jindal Saw and Shoppers Stop to the same day. Keep our Stock Market Today India hub open for the live market picture.

Think of this Daily Stock Updates note as a pre-result watchlist, not a tip sheet. Every date and call time here comes from exchange intimations summarised by major outlets, or from the companies’ own filings, fetched for this post. Once the PDFs land, our guide on how to analyse quarterly results of a company will help. Until the numbers and commentary are out, we’d treat any move in these stocks on Friday as noise.

Stocks to watch October 16 results: when each call happens

The calls are spread through the day across banking, housing finance, broking and IT. These times are confirmed in company filings, as reported by Kalkine, ScanX and related exchange summaries:

  • Angel One: earnings call on Friday, October 16, 2026, at 11:00 am IST. The board considered results on October 15, according to ScanX’s summary of the September 21 intimation.
  • Federal Bank: investor and analyst call at 3:30 pm IST on October 16 on Q2 FY27 results and business updates, based on the bank’s October 8 Regulation 30 filing as summarised by Kalkine.
  • Ujjivan Small Finance Bank: conference call at 5:00 pm IST on October 16 for Q2 and H1 FY27, based on the bank’s October 8 intimation as summarised by Kalkine.
  • Bajaj Housing Finance: call at 5:30 pm IST on October 16, hosted with JM Financial Institutional Securities, with MD Atul Jain and CFO Gaurav Kalani speaking, according to ScanX.
  • LTM (LTIMindtree): Q2 FY27 earnings conference call at 6:00 pm IST (18:00 hours) on October 16 over Zoom, based on the company’s October 12 exchange notice as summarised by Kalkine.

Federal Bank, Bajaj Housing Finance and LTM all have board meetings on Friday, October 16, 2026, for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026 (ET Markets; company call notices). Companies don’t always say in advance exactly when the PDF will go out, only that the board meets that day. So watch the exchange feeds instead of assuming a fixed time.

Friday packs a private-bank mid-cap print, a housing-finance book already half-known, an IT name that reports a day after Wipro and Tech Mahindra, and a broker call that follows Thursday’s Angel One board—four different balance-sheet stories on one calendar day.

Federal Bank: the mid-cap private bank to read before Saturday’s heavyweights

Federal Bank’s board meets on October 16 to consider unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, and the 3:30 pm IST call follows that afternoon (Kalkine; ET Markets). Our earlier note on the Federal Bank Q2 results date has the trading-window and dial-in details.

The obvious yardstick is the bank’s Q1 FY27 performance. A Federal Bank investor presentation for September meetings, summarised on Flash Finance, showed Q1 FY27 standalone net profit of about ₹1,177 crore, up 36.6% year-on-year from about ₹862 crore, and net interest income of about ₹2,946 crore, up 26.1% year-on-year. On the same page, an India Ratings note for 1QFY27 puts gross NPA at 1.52%, net NPA at 0.18%, provision coverage at around 88.2%, Tier-1 capital adequacy at 15.9% and the adjusted net interest margin at 3.33%, up 13 basis points quarter-on-quarter.

Three things to look for in Federal Bank’s Q2 pack:

  • NIM trajectory: whether the 3.33% Q1 margin holds now that deposit repricing benefits have largely played out, a point the bank’s Q1 investor materials stressed (Flash Finance summary of the September investor presentation).
  • Advances vs deposits and CASA mix: the Q1 presentation figures on Flash Finance put advances near ₹2,77,498 crore and deposits near ₹3,20,118 crore, and India Ratings noted Kerala’s share of the loan book easing to 27.7% in 1QFY27.
  • Credit cost and asset quality: whether gross and net NPA stay close to the Q1 marks of 1.52% and 0.18%.

The peer calendar matters here. ET Markets has HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Yes Bank reporting on Saturday, October 17, so Federal Bank’s Friday numbers give an early mid-cap private-bank read going into that cluster. They don’t replace it.

Bajaj Housing Finance: the growth is known, margins are the question

Bajaj Housing Finance’s board meets on October 16 for unaudited standalone Q2 and H1 FY27 results, and the 5:30 pm IST call is that evening (ScanX; ET Markets). Our Bajaj Housing Finance Q2 results date note covers the trading window, which runs through October 18.

Unlike most names on this list, much of the operating story here is already out. In an October 3 exchange filing summarised by ScanX, the company put out provisional Q2 FY27 business figures, still subject to statutory auditor review:

  • Gross disbursements: about ₹19,930 crore in Q2 FY27, against ₹15,914 crore in Q2 FY26 (about 25.2% year-on-year).
  • Assets under management: about ₹1,58,190 crore as of September 30, 2026, up 25% from ₹1,26,749 crore a year earlier; AUM rose by about ₹8,566 crore during the quarter.
  • Loan assets: about ₹1,39,850 crore, against ₹1,13,059 crore a year earlier (about 23.7% year-on-year).

Since loan growth is already known, Friday’s verdict will rest on net interest income, spreads, operating expenses and credit cost, not on whether the book grew. Provisional figures aren’t audited results. We’d use the October 3 update as a floor for growth questions and wait for the board-approved P&L before judging profitability.

When a lender has already printed 25% AUM growth, the Friday surprise is almost never the top line—it is whether the spread earned on that book still covers the cost of funding it.

LTM (LTIMindtree): an IT print after Thursday’s peers

LTM Limited, formerly LTIMindtree (NSE: LTM, BSE: 540005), holds its board meeting on October 16 to approve unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. The earnings call is at 6:00 pm IST (Kalkine; ET Markets). Our LTIMindtree Q2 results date note covers the possible interim dividend and the record-date wording in the earlier intimation.

For the Q1 FY27 baseline, the company’s own July 11, 2026 board-meeting outcome and investor release (LTM Q1 FY27 filing PDF) gives these numbers:

  • Dollar revenue: $1,223.5 million, up 0.1% quarter-on-quarter and 6.1% year-on-year; constant-currency growth 0.3% QoQ and 6.4% YoY.
  • Rupee revenue: ₹1,16,080 million (about ₹11,608 crore), up 2.8% QoQ and 18.0% YoY.
  • EBIT margin: 15.5%, up 40 basis points sequentially and 120 basis points year-on-year.
  • Net profit (consolidated, excluding exceptional items as presented in the investor release): ₹14,686 million, up 9.5% QoQ and 17.1% YoY.
  • Order inflow: $1.68 billion; active clients 740; headcount 87,886.

ET Markets has Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Persistent Systems reporting on Thursday, October 15, so LTM’s share price may already reflect some of the IT-sector reaction before its own PDF lands on Friday. In the Q2 release, we’ll check whether constant-currency sequential growth improves on Q1’s 0.3%, whether the 15.5% EBIT margin holds, how much of the profit comes from other income rather than operations, and what management says about converting deals after seven straight quarters of order inflow above $1.5 billion (Anand Rathi note via DSIJ, July 12, 2026, citing management on the Q1 call).

Angel One: board on Thursday, call on Friday at 11 am

Angel One doesn’t fit neatly on a pure “results day” list. Its board was scheduled for October 15, while the earnings call is on Friday, October 16 at 11:00 am IST (ScanX; ET Markets and Upstox both list Angel One among October 15 reporters). Our Angel One Q2 results date note covers the possible second interim dividend and the October 22 record-date wording if a dividend is declared.

Ahead of the P&L, Angel One released a Q2 FY27 / September 2026 business update on October 6. The figures below come from that filing as summarised by AngelNews and Kalkine:

  • Client base: 39.98 million, up 3.6% from 38.59 million in Q1 FY27 and up 17.3% from 34.08 million in Q2 FY26.
  • Gross client additions: 1.49 million in Q2, up 11.6% quarter-on-quarter but down 14.1% year-on-year.
  • Average client funding book: ₹74.53 billion (about ₹7,453 crore), up 21.4% QoQ and 40.5% YoY—described by the company as a record high.
  • Average daily orders: 5.64 million, down 16.7% from 6.77 million in Q1 and roughly flat year-on-year.
  • F&O option-premium ADTO: ₹123 billion, down 22.1% QoQ and up 2.6% YoY; retail F&O market share 22.1%.
  • Commodity ADTO: ₹2,438 billion, up 105.5% year-on-year, while commodity market share fell to 44.0% from 65.1% a year earlier.
  • The quarter had 65 trading days, against 60 in Q1 and 64 in Q2 FY26. September alone showed some recovery: average daily orders 5.82 million (up 11.7% month-on-month) and average funding book ₹78.71 billion.

The questions for Friday’s call are fairly clear. How did broking revenue move with the sequential fall in average daily orders? Did interest income from the bigger funding book make up for fee pressure? And what does management say about F&O activity after a mixed quarter for notional turnover?

Other October 16 names worth a quick look

ET Markets and Upstox both flag more Friday reporters beyond the four headline stocks:

  • Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals: board meets October 16 for unaudited standalone and consolidated Q2 and H1 FY27 results. The trading window closed from October 1 until two working days after the results, with reopening cited as October 22, per StockWatch’s summary of the exchange intimation.
  • Ujjivan Small Finance Bank: results discussion on the 5:00 pm IST call, with Interim CEO Carol Furtado and CFO Sadananda Balakrishna Kamath among the participants (Kalkine).
  • Oberoi Realty, Himadri Speciality Chemical, Urban Company, Jindal Saw, Shoppers Stop and others are on Upstox’s October 16 list of nearly 24 firms. Worth having on a scanner, even though this note doesn’t focus on them.

Then on Saturday, October 17, come the private-bank heavyweights: HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Yes Bank (ET Markets; Upstox). That’s why we’d read Friday’s Federal Bank and Ujjivan numbers as early colour on the sector, not a full verdict on banking.

Reading Friday’s prints: three rules

Here’s what we’d keep in mind on Friday:

  1. Separate what’s known from what isn’t. Bajaj Housing’s disbursement and AUM growth and Angel One’s client and funding-book numbers are already public. Price action in those two will hang more on margins, costs and guidance than on “did the business grow?”
  2. Mind the call order. With Angel One at 11:00 am, Federal Bank at 3:30 pm, Ujjivan at 5:00 pm, Bajaj Housing at 5:30 pm and LTM at 6:00 pm, commentary can spill into late trade and into Monday’s open. The first headline move may not be the final word.
  3. Check the PDF, not the rumour. A board-meeting date tells you when results may be approved, not the minute the exchange feed updates. Wait for the official filing before you size any trade around it.

None of this is investment advice. It is a calendar and checklist built from filings and major-market summaries fetched for this post. For ongoing Indian market context, return to the Stock Market Today India hub after the Friday prints, and use the quarterly-results pillar linked above when you open each company’s PDF.
