Mark Wednesday, October 14, 2026: that’s the BHEL Q2 results date. Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has informed the exchanges that its board meets that day to consider and approve unaudited results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, the second quarter of FY27. The state-run power equipment maker lands right in the thick of the busiest week of September-quarter earnings.

BHEL Q2 Results Date: What the Board Notice Says

The board meeting intimation filed with BSE, as it appears on Trendlyne’s BSE announcements feed, puts the meeting on October 14, 2026, “inter alia” to approve results “for & upto the quarter ended 30th September, 2026”. It also says the trading window for designated persons and their immediate relatives stays shut from October 1 to October 16, 2026, as SEBI’s insider trading rules require. One thing the notice leaves out is the time the numbers will come out.

Wednesday is crowded. The Economic Times earnings tracker lists about 25 companies due with Q2 numbers that day. Among them are Groww parent Billionbrains Garage Ventures, Canara Bank, Tata Technologies, HDB Financial Services, ICICI Lombard General Insurance, Ceat, Leela Palaces Hotels & Resorts and MRPL.

Where BHEL Left Off Last Quarter

Q1 FY27 is the benchmark Wednesday’s print will be judged against. Here’s what BHEL’s own Q1 FY27 supplementary information, dated July 16, 2026, shows:

  • Revenue from operations: ₹7,698 crore, compared with ₹5,487 crore in Q1 FY26, a 40% year-on-year rise in revenue.
  • EBITDA: ₹735 crore, swinging from a ₹352 crore loss a year ago.
  • Profit after tax: ₹382 crore, versus a ₹455 crore loss a year ago.
  • Customer collections: ₹11,004 crore, 34% higher than ₹8,191 crore.
  • Order inflow for the quarter: ₹26,745 crore, with power contributing ₹22,625 crore.
  • Outstanding order book: ₹2,60,255 crore, up 27% from ₹2,04,375 crore a year before.

Those are the presentation figures. On a consolidated basis, Business Standard reported Q1 net profit at ₹376.71 crore, and power segment revenue up 51.8% year-on-year at ₹5,919.50 crore.

A Stock That Has Already Run

The shares haven’t waited for the results. Business Standard reported on October 6 that BHEL touched a fresh high of ₹448.95 on the BSE that day, beating the earlier peak of ₹446.75 set on July 17, 2026. The stock was up 82% over the previous six months, the report said, while the BSE Sensex slipped 2% in that time. It also quoted ICICI Securities expecting FY27 order inflows above ₹70,000 crore and an EBITDA margin expanding from 6.9% in FY26 to 11.5% by FY28. Keep in mind that’s a single brokerage’s estimate, not anything the company has guided.

What Investors Should Watch

BHEL isn’t short of orders, so this quarter is really about execution. We’d expect investors to stack revenue growth against Q1’s 40%, check that EBITDA stays in the black with margins moving up, and look closely at fresh order wins and collections. After a run like this, a miss or a beat could move the stock sharply.
