Today’s Suzlon Energy share price news comes down to one brokerage call. Shares of the wind turbine maker rose nearly 5% intraday on Monday, 12 October 2026 and closed nearly 2% higher, CNBC-TV18 reported, after Motilal Oswal Financial Services stuck with its Buy rating and a ₹65 target. With the stock at about ₹38, that works out to roughly 73% upside, as Mint reported. And on a day the benchmarks fell, Suzlon was among the top gainers in the Nifty Midcap 100, according to ET Now.

Suzlon Energy share price news: what Motilal Oswal is betting on

  • Target: ₹65, which is 30 times estimated FY28 earnings per share
  • Where valuation sits now: about 17.5 times FY28 estimated earnings, after the stock fell 31% in three months
  • Order book: 5.9 GW at the end of Q1 FY27, plus about 1.3 GW of fresh orders so far in FY27
  • Deliveries: 2.1 GW expected in H2 FY27 versus 1.2 GW in H1, taking FY27 to 3.3 GW (35% growth) and FY28 to 3.8 GW
  • EBITDA: seen growing at a 22% CAGR from FY26 to FY28

The timing argument is straightforward. Suzlon usually books 60–65% of its full-year EBITDA in the second half, Motilal Oswal noted, so the brokerage expects earnings momentum to pick up from here.

Why the sector backdrop helps

India added about 3 GW of wind capacity in the first half of FY27. Motilal Oswal pencils in another 4.5 GW for the second half, which would take the year to about 7.5 GW, in line with the renewable energy ministry’s expectation of 7.5–8 GW. The brokerage also flagged three newer sources of growth. One is repowering old turbines, a potential opportunity of up to 25 GW. Another is exports to markets such as Europe and Australia. The third is the DevCo model, which brought in more than 600 MW of orders in the first four months of FY27.

The bull case rests on execution. A 5.9 GW order book only becomes earnings if deliveries actually double from the first half to the second.

The chart readers aren’t convinced yet

The technical analysts Mint spoke to were more careful. On the BSE the stock opened at ₹38.29 and moved between ₹38.17 and ₹39.44. Osho Krishan of Angel One said Suzlon is still in a sustained downtrend below its major moving averages, and that it would take a decisive move above ₹42 to show real improvement. Virat Jagad of Bonanza pointed to weekly support at ₹37–38 and suggested waiting for a confirmed reversal before buying.

What investors should take from this

So we’re left with a familiar split on Suzlon. On fundamentals, the correction has reset valuations. On price, momentum still points down. Long-term holders will be watching the Q2 delivery numbers, while traders keep an eye on the ₹37–38 support and ₹42 resistance.
