Jio Financial Q2 results lending AUM growth was the headline once Jio Financial Services Limited (NSE: JIOFIN) put out unaudited consolidated results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 on October 15. Jio Credit’s gross lending AUM stood at ₹37,320 crore, up 154% year on year, and consolidated total income excluding dividend income more than doubled, according to the company’s BSE earnings presentation. The stock barely moved. JIOFIN closed at ₹219.01 on the NSE that day against a previous close of ₹219.00, per the NSE bhavcopy. Our Stock Market Today India hub covers the wider tape.
Jio Financial Q2 results: income, profit and lending AUM growth
Consolidated total income excluding dividend income was ₹1,699 crore in Q2 FY27, up 132% from ₹733 crore a year ago, the BSE presentation shows. Pre-provisioning operating profit (PPOP) ex-dividend rose 85% to ₹574 crore. On the same ex-dividend basis, profit before tax was ₹489 crore, up 51% on the presentation’s Q2 FY26 ex-dividend base. Here’s the catch. Reported consolidated profit after tax actually fell 51% year on year to ₹340 crore from ₹695 crore. The company pointed out that PAT in Q2 FY26 and Q1 FY27 included dividend income, so that drop isn’t a like-for-like operating comparison. Consolidated net interest income works out to ₹680 crore (interest income of ₹1,258 crore less finance cost of ₹578 crore), roughly 165% higher than the ₹257 crore implied for Q2 FY26.
CNBC-TV18 led with the doubling of income and the 140% rise in the lending arm’s PAT, which matches the primary slide deck. When the headline PAT and the operating lines point in opposite directions like this, our guide on how to analyse quarterly results of a company walks through which numbers to trust.
Jio Credit: AUM, disbursements and profit
Jio Credit Limited’s gross AUM reached ₹37,320 crore as of September 30, 2026. That is up 154% from ₹14,709 crore a year earlier and about 21.6% higher than the ₹30,667 crore it reported in Q1 FY27. Gross disbursements for the quarter nearly doubled to ₹13,135 crore (+98% YoY). At the NBFC level, net interest income rose 116% to ₹302 crore and PAT jumped 140% to ₹120 crore, both year on year. By segment, mortgages were 44.5% of AUM, retail loans against securities 11.3%, and corporate and SME loans 44.2%, per the presentation. JFSL also flagged a joint-venture agreement under which Bank of America can acquire up to 49.9% of Jio Credit, subject to regulatory approvals.
The asset management, payments bank and payments businesses
JioBlackRock’s closing AUM grew 57% year on year to ₹22,746 crore. Deposits at Jio Payments Bank rose 53% to ₹643 crore, spread over about 40 lakh CASA accounts. Jio Payment Solutions processed ₹14,682 crore of total payment value, up 8% year on year, and its net processing margin improved to 14 basis points from 9 bps a year earlier. For the first half, H1 FY27 consolidated total income ex-dividend was ₹3,195 crore (+136% YoY) and H1 PAT was ₹1,171 crore (+15% YoY). Total consolidated shareholders’ equity was about ₹1.3 lakh crore as of September 30, 2026.
One thing to keep in mind about that flat close: the results came out after market hours on October 15, so it wasn’t a reaction to the numbers. What investors have in front of them is a lending book that is scaling fast and rising operating income, next to a headline PAT that looks worse than it is because of last year’s dividend income. We’d keep an eye on sequential AUM quality, credit costs (provisions rose to ₹41 crore in Q2) and how the BofA stake process moves. This is the full results note. Our earlier results-day October 15 market setup post only listed Jio Financial as an upcoming announcement.
