Thursday, October 15, 2026 is the HDFC Life Q2 results date. In a September 30 exchange filing, HDFC Life Insurance Company Limited told NSE and BSE that its board will meet that day to consider unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2026. The same agenda includes a proposal to raise funds, in one or more tranches, by issuing Non-Convertible Debentures in the nature of subordinated debt on a private placement basis, under the IRDAI capital-structure regulations of 2024.
ET Markets lists HDFC Life among the notable names scheduled for October 15, in a week when about 129 companies are set to report Q2 FY27 numbers. Peers on the same Thursday print include Polycab India, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Nestlé India, Jio Financial Services and HDFC Asset Management. HDFC Life Q2 results date and H1 FY27 earnings call
Management will host an H1 FY27 earnings conference call with analysts and investors on the same day at 16:15 IST. That time is confirmed in the company’s October 6 Regulation 30 intimation and in the H1 FY27 call invite on HDFC Life’s investor-relations site. An audio recording is to be posted on the company website after the call. The filing doesn’t give a clock time for the results PDF itself.
Under SEBI’s insider-trading rules, the trading window for the promoter, designated persons, directors and their immediate relatives stays closed from October 1, 2026 through October 17, 2026 (both days inclusive), the September 30 board intimation said.
Q1 FY27 baseline: what the street will measure against
The July–September print will be read against the company’s Q1 FY27 press release (quarter ended June 30, 2026). Key figures from that release:
- Value of New Business (VNB): ₹879 crore, up 9% year-on-year.
- New business margin: 25.0% (25.6% excluding GST impact).
- Profit after tax: ₹611 crore, up 12% year-on-year (underlying PAT growth 17% excluding GST).
- Total APE: ₹3,515 crore, up 9%; Individual APE ₹2,969 crore, up 7%.
- Total premium: ₹17,166 crore, up 15%.
- Solvency ratio: 185%.
- Company AUM: ₹4,00,870 crore, up 13%; AUM including HDFC Pension crossed ₹5.7 lakh crore.
Retail protection grew 42% in Q1 and the protection mix (including riders) was nearly 11% of retail business, per the same release — so product mix, bancassurance recovery and VNB margin will be the live questions for October 15. The subordinated-debt NCD proposal also matters for solvency headroom; the board filing doesn’t disclose issue size, coupon or tenure.
When the PDF drops, use our checklist on how to analyse quarterly results of a company — focus on APE and VNB growth, new-business margin, persistency, expense ratio and solvency before reading the stock move. Pair the life-insurance tape with Thursday’s IT and FMCG prints already on the ET Markets calendar, and with Saturday’s private-bank cluster (HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Yes Bank) for a fuller mid-October earnings map. Our Yes Bank Q2 results date note covers that Saturday banking slate.
