The HDFC Bank Q2 results date is Saturday, 17 October 2026. That’s when the board of India’s largest private lender sits down to consider unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter and half-year ended 30 September 2026. It won’t be a quiet Saturday for bank watchers either. ET Markets has HDFC Bank on the same day as Axis Bank, ICICI Bank and Yes Bank, in a week when about 129 companies are lined up to report Q2 FY27 numbers.

The 17 October date lines up with the bank’s own exchange intimation, as reported by Business Upturn. It also falls inside the “3rd week of October 2026” slot that HDFC Bank’s financial calendar gives for unaudited results for the quarter and half-year ending 30 September 2026. According to Business Upturn, the trading window for designated persons is shut from 24 September through 19 October 2026, both days included.

HDFC Bank Q2 results date: what the street already knows

We already have the Q2 business update, so this isn’t a total blind spot. ET Markets reported average advances under management of ₹31.87 lakh crore for the September 2026 quarter, up about 14% from ₹27.95 lakh crore a year earlier. Period-end advances under management came to roughly ₹33.08 lakh crore as of 30 September 2026, up about 15.3% from ₹28.69 lakh crore. Good momentum on the balance sheet, sure. But those numbers say nothing about margins or credit costs, and that’s where the real questions sit for 17 October: net interest margin, provisions and the deposit mix.

The share price isn’t giving the bank much benefit of the doubt. ET Markets had the stock down around 15% in under three months, after a weak reaction to Q1 and a run of governance headlines around the chairmanship. The same report notes the RBI has approved Anup Bagchi as Managing Director and CEO for a three-year term from 27 October 2026. Analysts quoted there say NIM and asset quality are the things to track once the full results replace the provisional advances update.

Why 17 October matters for Bank Nifty

With HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Yes Bank all reporting on Saturday, we get a same-day picture of private-bank loan growth, margins and asset quality after a choppy patch for rate-sensitive stocks. Read those alongside the IT and FMCG numbers already on the week’s calendar (Wipro, Tech Mahindra and Nestlé India on 15 October, per ET Markets) if you’re trying to work out which sectors are leading. For a checklist of what to read first when the PDF lands, see our guide on how to analyse quarterly results of a company; live index context is on the Stock Market Today India hub.

Until 17 October, the provisional advances growth is a hint about direction and not much more. The board meeting will give us NII, NIM, provisions and GNPA/NNPA, and those lines will decide whether the post-Q1 de-rating stops here or whether the new leadership story needs another quarter before it shows up in the numbers.
