The Angel One Q2 results October 15 market reaction came down to two things: a sharp year-on-year jump in profit and a firm close for the stock. Angel One Limited (NSE: ANGELONE) put out unaudited consolidated results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026 on October 15. Consolidated reported PAT came in at ₹3,350 million, up 58.2% from a year ago, according to the company’s NSE press release. The stock ended that day’s NSE cash session at ₹313.00, up 2.27% from the previous close of ₹306.05, per the NSE bhavcopy. Our Stock Market Today India hub has the rest of the session.
Angel One Q2 results: the numbers behind the October 15 market reaction
Consolidated total gross revenues rose 18.9% year on year to ₹14,315 million in Q2 FY27. Reported EBDAT grew a lot faster, up 52.0% to ₹4,933 million, which gives a reported EBDAT margin of 45.1%, the company filing shows. Put in crore, that is roughly ₹1,431.5 crore of revenue and ₹335 crore of PAT. Standalone reported PAT was of ₹3,667 million (+55.2% YoY) with a 48.9% operating margin, which management said beat its guided range.
The “45%” headlines aren’t wrong either. CNBC-TV18 compared it with the previous quarter: a 44.7% quarter-on-quarter rise in consolidated net profit to ₹334.9 crore from ₹231.4 crore. That squares with the NSE filing; it’s just a different base from the 58.2% year-on-year growth.
Funding book, daily orders and the user base
The average client funding book touched a record ₹74.5 billion (₹7,450 crore), 40.5% higher than a year earlier. Average daily orders hit 5.8 million in September 2026, close to pre-Closing Auction Session levels. Group CEO Ambarish Kenghe said in the release that the cash-equity market-structure changes had weighed on broking activity for a while. The total user base stood at 40.0 million, and Angel One’s share of retail equity derivatives turnover went up 43 basis points year on year to 22.1%.
Outside broking, the picture was mixed. Credit distribution was ₹6.9 billion for the quarter (+51.8% YoY), and wealth management AUM jumped 160.5% to ₹160.0 billion. Asset-management AUM was a much smaller ₹5.7 billion (+41.3% YoY). The weak spot was SIPs, where unique registrations fell 19.0% year on year to 1.9 million.
The ₹1.40 interim dividend, and how the stock traded on results day
The board declared a second interim dividend for FY 2026-27 of ₹1.40 per equity share (face value ₹1). The record date is Thursday, October 22, 2026, and payment is due on or before Saturday, November 14, 2026, per the BSE board-outcome filing. On October 15 the stock went as high as ₹315.55 on the NSE and about 1.16 crore shares changed hands, so a fair bit of results optimism was already in the price by the close. The October 16 earnings call was on our stocks to watch October 16 list; this piece covers the results.
Profitability is clearly stronger than a year ago and the funding book is bigger, but SIP registrations slipped, and one quarter doesn’t make a cycle. We’d track three things from here: whether September’s 5.8 million daily-order run-rate holds, how the Loan Against Securities beta scales, and whether the interim dividend cadence keeps pace with cash generation.
