Hero Motors Q1 results come out today, Tuesday, October 13, 2026. For the powertrain maker, these are the first quarterly numbers as a listed company. According to the company’s exchange filing as reported by Capital Market, the board meets to consider unaudited standalone and consolidated results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026. The stock has nearly doubled since its September debut. Today we find out whether earnings back that up.

Hero Motors Q1 Results: What the Board Will Approve

One thing to get straight first: this is the June quarter, Q1 of FY27, not the September quarter. Hero Motors listed on September 23, after June had already closed, which is why its first results as a listed company cover that period. ET Markets has the recently listed company on Tuesday’s list along with Tata Elxsi, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, Transformers and Rectifiers (India) and Anand Rathi Share and Stock Brokers. ET counts 129 companies reporting results this week.

Another set of numbers isn’t far behind. Per the same Capital Market report, the company told the exchanges its trading window closed from October 1 and reopens 48 hours after it declares results for the quarter and half year ending September 30, 2026. So investors may get June-quarter and September-quarter figures only a few weeks apart.

Key Figures Since the IPO

  • IPO size and price: Rs 1,000 crore in total, split into a Rs 600 crore fresh issue and a Rs 400 crore offer for sale, at Rs 84 a share. Bidding was open from September 16 to 18, according to Angel One.
  • Listing day: The stock opened at Rs 82 on the NSE, 2.38% under the issue price, then closed at Rs 98.40, 17.14% above it, Livemint reported.
  • Record high: On October 1 the shares climbed as much as 10% to Rs 167.45 on the BSE, Zee Business reported. Livemint’s price data now puts the 52-week high at Rs 179.
  • Latest price: The stock finished October 12 at around Rs 155.50, down 1.89% from the previous close of Rs 158.50, according to Livemint’s stock page. That’s roughly 85% above the Rs 84 issue price.

Why Everyone Is Looking at the EV Business

Hero Motors designs and builds powertrain systems, gears, transmissions and alloy and metallic parts for vehicle makers across the US, Europe, India and South-East Asia. Livemint names BMW AG and Ducati as customers. EV-linked products and services brought in 23% of FY26 revenue, Zee Business reported. That EV angle is what has driven most of the buying since listing.

What It Means for Investors

The real argument is over valuation. Shivani Nyati of Swastika Investmart told Livemint the stock was trading at around 69 to 74 times earnings, against a peer average of 50.2 times. She added that its return on net worth of 8.53% and EBITDA margin of around 10.2% lag key peers, and pointed to high customer concentration. Her stance was neutral, with a suggestion to wait for better valuations.

Once the numbers are out, start with revenue growth. Then check the EBITDA margin against that roughly 10% mark, and look at finance costs, which tell you how much operating profit actually survives to the bottom line. The EV-linked share of revenue matters too. Our guide on how to analyse quarterly results of a company takes you through each of these lines.
