ideaForge share price news: what happened
According to the exchange filing, as reported by CNBC-TV18, the loan agreement is dated 9 October 2026 and is for ₹151 crore, which the TDB will release in tranches. The money goes into YETI, a heavy-lift, long-range autonomous aerial logistics vehicle. Nothing had been disbursed yet when the company filed.
Key figures
- Loan size: ₹151 crore from the Technology Development Board, in tranches
- Monday’s move: +9.99% to ₹735.15, in a day range of ₹681.15–735.15
- Previous close (9 Oct): ₹668.35 on the BSE, down 0.15% that day
- Volume: about 4.33 lakh shares across NSE and BSE, against a 20-day average of about 2.56 lakh
- 52-week range: ₹367.95–997.00
- Market capitalisation: about ₹3,654 crore
The fine print on the loan
- ideaForge is giving the lender a first-ranking charge over the project assets, plant and machinery that are created or bought with this money.
- There are the usual lending covenants, curbs on promoter share transfers above 20%, matching funding obligations and conditions on keeping the intellectual property.
- The company says the lender gets no special say over director appointments or the capital structure, and that this isn’t a related-party deal.
- The TDB had sent a letter of intent on 31 July, and ideaForge accepted the term sheet on 7–8 October.
Low-cost development funding for a new product line is a vote of confidence, but the market will want to see YETI turn into orders before the rally can be justified.
Why the stock stood out
Monday wasn’t a great day for the benchmarks, yet defence and drone names still found buyers. Going by Mint data, ideaForge was up about 42.6% for the year but had slipped about 9% over the five sessions before this jump. So part of the move was a bounce. Mutual funds held 9.14% of the company and FIIs 8.27% as of July 2026.
What it means for investors
Keep in mind this is development money. It doesn’t add revenue straight away, and the stock already trades at a rich valuation compared with what it earns today. The things we’d track are disbursement updates, progress on YETI and the next set of quarterly numbers.
