Can Fin Homes Q2 results 2026: key numbers
- Net profit: Rs 275 crore, against Rs 251 crore in Q2 FY26.
- Net interest income (NII): Rs 431 crore, against Rs 404 crore.
- Net interest margin (NIM): 3.89%, down from 4.02%.
- Cost-to-income ratio: 19.59%, against 18.55%.
- Gross NPAs: Rs 392 crore, up from Rs 373 crore.
- EPS: Rs 20.62, against Rs 18.88.
- New approvals: Rs 2,604 crore in the quarter.
So profit grew faster than NII. The catch is underneath: margins slipped by 13 basis points and the cost-to-income ratio crept up. Those two lines are what we’d keep an eye on over the next few quarters.
How the first half looked
Across the first half of FY27 (April-September 2026), net profit came to Rs 543 crore, up 14% from Rs 475 crore a year earlier.
The loan portfolio stood at Rs 43,539 crore at the end of September 2026, against Rs 39,657 crore a year before. Housing loans, CRE included, were 83% of the book; non-housing loans were the other 17%.
Disbursements for the half were Rs 4,982 crore, 9% higher than the Rs 4,560 crore of last year.
Liquidity, provisions and deposits
The liquidity coverage ratio was 29,124% as of September 30, 2026. The requirement is 100%. On top of that, the company had Rs 2,571 crore of documented undrawn bank lines, which it says, along with internal accruals, take care of business commitments for the next three months.
Provisions totalled Rs 525 crore, including a Rs 59 crore management overlay and Rs 49 crore set aside for restructured accounts.
Deposits are a small piece at Rs 239 crore. The company pays 7.50% on 36-month cumulative deposits, and senior citizens get 0.25 percentage points more. ICRA rates the FD programme “AAA” with a stable outlook.
Where it wants to grow by 2028
Can Fin Homes is aiming for a 60% South, 40% rest-of-India split in its loan book by 2028. Today it is 66% and 34%. In plain terms, the company wants to lean less on its southern home turf.
Share price context
The rally came after a rough patch. Before Monday the stock had fallen 3.86% in a month and about 19.52% so far this calendar year, according to the same report, and it was down 5.54% over one year.
One good day after results doesn’t undo that. Longer-term holders will probably want to see margins settle and growth outside the South actually show up in the numbers.
